@authen im not entirely sure this is the right explanation but like how our internet works currently except ip addresses arent assigned by a central authority and you can run your own router, imagine each router was physically wired up except on here you can connect over regular ass ip so like... someone in china wants to access an yggdrasil ip in the us they send a request to the router theyre peered with and that router will forward that request to a router that theyre peered with and so on until the packet has reached its destination
