Between the First and Second Peloponnesian Wars there was a Thirty Years Truce, which is now considered something so tiny and insignificant that we superficially overlook it and perceive the whole period as just the Peloponnesian War. And it's actually a lot longer than 90% of the fediverse userbase. Many people were born after the first war and died before the second one started. Wild how the chunks of time expand the further into the past we go (think hundreds of years for the Bronze Age and thousands of years even further). Being too deep for too long into that messes up your perception of modern day events
