If you live in states or countries where the education system whitewashes history, you do not have to go to the extreme of homeschooling your children to make sure they get a broader, more complete education. You just have to accept that there’s a need for you, as a parent, to supplement that education.

Framing it as an all or nothing issue may be rhetorically satisfying, but it doesn’t address the deficit.

Be angry. But also, be an educator.
