story-wise i hope they get to do something philosophical with it, but being a (non-netflix) netflix original series it's more likely they just went "the conspiracy theory chuds talking about the covid vaccine being a depopulation time bomb (already fact checked to be false) is a pretty good premise actually, let's steal it" and everything will fall back into "le heckin decent human being" moral standards once they find the antagonist and interrogate him
