“Keep politics out of schools” is a meaningless phrase that fails to understand what the word “politics” •means•. The existence of schools is political. Making school accessible to everyone is political. Policing what can and cannot be spoken in a school is political. Giving students and teachers freedom to speak what they like in a school is political. There does not exist an option here that is not political.

“Keep politics out of schools” in practice means “schools should reflect •my• politics.” Sorry to be harsh, but I’m out of patience for this one.
