so my takeaway is that it's cool, but to tinker with it one would have to navigate 20k lines of code, and huge part of it is C containers which is definitely not for the faint of heart

i like the project and how it's going, but i won't run it on my server somewhere as it's quite hard to navigate and operate. i see no advantages in comparison with akkoma which is already quite slim and fast, and can be viewed on my core2duo laptop form 2006 with no problems (i'm looking at you mastodon :akko_angry:)
