honestly i've seen this a lot, a fair amount of conservative people i've met online (and IRL) are really untethered to reality and are incredibly susceptible to manipulation, i think maybe people should start talking about more concrete steps to address this besides "don't engage in retarded conspiratorial thinking" because otherwise a large portion of the country is just going to continue to devolve into a permanent state of being psyop'ed
