They probably sent an email out to their user list that said "issues with 600 MHz instrument" this sort of thing happens all of the time and that school has multiple instruments so at most it elicits a response of "oh, I should read the email before I book instrument time today". And the link goes to something that is immediatly apparent as joke for anyone familiar with the instruments. And they did a bunch of cheesy photo shop to really run the joke into the ground and write a whole narrative about it while using terms that get tossed around about major NMR disasters.
