Reason I prefer C over other languages is that the rules are simple and I dont need to memorize what the comoiler does when this (the std library sucks though)

Languages like C++ and rust just provide too much by default its kinda hard to fully grasp the code. At least rust is somewhat sane, but yet it has edge cases which can be unpredictable and the language has had changes there.

C++ on the other hand is just mental anguish to properly grasp (and that seems intended?)
