Or is it you, who gathers up and comforts the lost children?
Will you find kindness when fear rises?
Will you know when it is time to walk away with only what you can carry?
Is it you who has the courage to quietly wait?It’s all happening at once now.
The fires of destruction,
the fires of invention.
Gates clanging shut.
Inside the chrysalis, change unfolds.
Living rafts, strewn with flowers, launch.
You are choosing, again and again
which way to go.Nothing changes.
Everything changes.
And you are the still point in the swirl.
You bind together an improbable convergence of good things.
You undo.
You redo.
Listening, you move.
In your wake everything shifts.You are never alone.
Wild bees, birch trees, glacier water,
old teachers
new life,
we are all with you,
conspiring.Pass seeds hand to hand.
Make compost.
Braid vines together.
Channel rain.
Speak truth.
Look inside.
Renew.
Grow a tap root.
