https://www.discovermagazine.com/the-sciences/jwst-findings-may-suggest-our-universe-exists-inside-a-black-hole Interesting ... a large majority of spiral galaxies are believed to rotate clockwise.
Our neighbor, Andromeda Galaxy, is believed to rotate counter-clockwise. https://sci.esa.int/web/gaia/-/61118-stellar-motions-in-the-andromeda-galaxy ... meanwhile, the Milky Way Galaxy is believed to rotate clockwise. https://astronomy.stackexchange.com/questions/21450/in-which-direction-does-the-milky-way-rotate#21490
But I suppose another way of looking at it is which direction is galactic north? On Earth, the planet rotates counter-clockwise or west to east if north is "up". So maybe Milky Way's north is sort of "down" from our perspective.
