I made the mistake of looking at the comment section of a YT video about gun control.

Holy shit the amount of people advocating for guns so that they can fight their government if it was to become tyrannical and like my brother in Christ, your tax money has been funding the single most powerful military in the world for decades do you think some hillbillies with shotguns could ever stand a chance if it came down to it?? Are people seriously this delusional?

Also the whole obsession about having the means to personally defend yourself instead of prioritizing creating a safer society so you don't have to. The most vulnerable people aren't likely to carry guns or be able to use them well.

Libertarians really just wanna live in a wild west fantasy istg. Everyone fends for themselves and earns their right to live! The weak die and so be it!! Seriously we can do better as a species, grow the fuck up we're not in the bronze age
