It costs about $3.1 billion per year to operate the National Park Service.

I can't speak for others (especially if they are worth billions of dollars, which I am not), but it seems to me that if one wished to operate the U.S. government like a business - this would be a great case study for how to do it.
Seems pretty efficient to me.
