I mean sure, I like cats, but I'm not obsessed with them over all other animals or possible conversation topics. So just, what's with the world-wide phenomena? Is it just that many introverts identify with the stereotype of cats being aloof and independent, and standoffish, which as my Lilo and many other peoples' cats have shown isn't always true?
