You were so close to figuring out that the smart people with the skills to solve important problems are still motivated by money. If they could have been paid the same amount to sweep chimneys they'd have done it, just been less happy.

Money keeps you fed, housed, alive. That's the motivation. I never said they were motivated to become billionaires. That's a different concept.
