The streetlight has a dark gray metal cage and the glass globe is a yellowish-white and has a surface covered in fine crinkles. The starling is facing left in profile leaving one eye visible and it has its beak open. The iridescent feathers on its body are highlighted by sunlight a luminous emerald green and covered in small tan chevrons. The feathers of its head and neck are black and covered in tan spots. European starlings have black breast feathers that flash iridescent green and purple in the right light, dark wings with brown edging, dark eyes, sharp yellow beaks, and brown legs and feet.
