If your nation will suffer the same devastation from tariffs as it would face from a hot shooting war...

...then tariffs are absolutely the right course for us here.

To put it plainly, these other nations have been taking advantage of our own naivete and hubris to attack our manufacturing and weaken us internally.

All of these other nations know this. And they're pissed that the free ride is over.
