I mean the point is that I spent a solid decade arguing with people who have college degrees (and even many who work IN the field of education) that the obvious fascist movement growing from the political right AND free market fundamentalist capitalism, was in fact fascist, and after I dismantled all their excuses not to take it seriously they would always end with "Trump hasn't invaded Europe."

Was that ridiculous? Of course, the Nazis by necessity did that AFTER they won, not before. (ct)
