I dated this girl with an incredibly high drive. She was with this abusive German guy before who never put out and sorta used it as a means of control over her (guy didn't even give her a key to the apartment and she paid half the rent).

She was glad I could keep up with her (I couldn't really. It was exhausting). She was an extremely high energy person in general. I was very stoic .. even more so than usual, to balance out just listening to her talk. She was also very crazy .... we were still friends for a few years but we don't really talk any more ... but to you original point .. mixed blessing
