The capitalists understand that there's a class war, while much of the working class is oblivious to it. That's why the capitalists are currently winning it. Even though capitalists are the smaller and weaker class, they can keep winning if the workers don't even know there's a war going on. That's all the capitalists have going for them – the obliviousness of the workers.
