When I canceled my subscriptions to NY Times and the Washington Post after the election, I was hopeful that they might turn it around and re-earn our business. Alas, Bezos seems intent on running The Post into the ground and I’m not sure what the Times is up to.

I still wish for a crowd-funded independent media operation to rise and take over. Never gonna happen. In which case, a benevolent billionaire could set up a blind trust to fund one? Something?

The News is in real trouble.
