Can I just say that I am getting fed up with vendor lock-in ecosystem bullshit?

Without too many health details (no im not dieing, had an event and the dr. said it'd be helpful to get a long term picture), im looking for a watch that does decent heart monitoring. so I can get a long term picture of what my heart's doing to give to my dr.

I have an iPhone, and a lower-end apple watch that doesnt do the higher end heart monitoring.

So i do some googling, whats the best heart monitor watch, and i keep getting sent to google's pixel watch. Also slightly cheaper than apple watch. Win! But can I use it with my iPhone? No. No i cant. I basically -have to- use the apple watch.

Maybe fitbit? Ill look there i suppose. But being owned by Google, i dont have much hope. Apple watches are flippin expensive.
