I don't think it prove what people think it does. Different time. Also lots of people makes a lot of plans about money they will never even have.

And we are a lot more aware of economy now. It was different back then.

And it's not like there are magical years where only good or bad people are born. We are all just children of our time.

Making generations hate each other is divide and conquer. We are being tricked into hating our parents and it only makes us weaker.
