@helge @fmarini Since I'm not East German, it would be interesting to hear the reasons. Besides the historical reasons, are there any former SED members left in the party? (Gysi?)

Personally, I'm not sure what to think of them. Many of their ideas seem very naive, especially when it comes to foreign politics. But, with the changing demographics, they also appear to be a very young party now.
