      No one backs up their data to make it less secure, but that’s what the UK Government has done. The government’s recent secret orders requiring technology companies to create backdoors in encrypted data, particularly targeting Apple devices, is an attack on privacy and a fundamental weakening of security for every citizen who relies on encrypted services to protect their personal information. Let members of the government know that you oppose directives forcing technology companies to weaken encryption. Security should never be a privilege reserved for the state; it is a fundamental right of all individuals.
