The papers go into great lengths to explain the benefits of DIDs to blockchain, but never detail which DIDs, which is important because they all have different properties; and functionally you could use your wallet address instead of a DID identity and you wouldn't need this separate abstraction at all. I have read the entire paper of AI goop and it never actually explains WHY you need DIDs to do anything.
