Looking through the history of analog computing, it looks like it *does* have some potential advantages. Can it compete with the decades of advances in digital computing in the short term? Probably not. But it's probably worthwhile to study, as many fledgling innovations from past die prematurely ecause the competing technology of the time was able to be made cheaper and wiped out development.
Just look at what is happening with EVs.
