Going from -8 to a +7C house (I was away for two days) makes 7 degrees feel like a nice warm temperature fit for life

I had the oil radiator running at a low setting, it would drop to 5 otherwise. Still no substitute for a central heating (which I'm planning) or a fire in all the fireplaces

It's -9 now. This will be a brutal night, not a good time to sleep on the street
