The #NBAAllStar weekend came and went. The #NBA is on the right path to a happy medium fans & players can be excited for. The first-to-fourty, single elimination tournament is the right way to showcase the league's best talent. Games do not drag on to 100+ points where players & fans get bored.
The player selection process needs some work. IMHO, the player draft by the appointed GMs from Inside The NBA felt scripted. When the hosts declared that they're picking international, young, and "OGs", at that point, why not just announce the rosters as "Team Chuck, etc..."? I wasn't a fan of the dramatization of the all-star player draft. Shaq couldn't draft Giannis b/c he was going to be appointed by Chuck--there was no competition amongst the hosts/honourary GMs.
