Rich Puchalsky ⩜⃝It's not even good liberalism. Probably one of the best philosophers of liberalism was John Rawls, who envisioned a polite, civilized dialogue as the way to settle societal basics. He was famously asked what happened if Hitler showed up to the dialogue and replied that all you could do in the thought experiment was tell him to go away (and in real life, to go to war).
