- Embed this notice@p @Turkleton I think it's the opposite friend. The Confederacy didn't want to vote for the president because they considered themselves a separate country. But the Union legally considered them a part of the country, but in every way acted as if they were a separate one. The truth is that the Union understood the Confederacy was de facto a new country, but wanted to conquer them to bring them back in. Nothing necessarily wrong with this if they have the good reasoning for it, but they should be honest at least. Thank you friend.
