Nope.

There is an actual sound reason why you absolutely do not want the Mississippi River changing course and bogarting the Atchafalaya River Basin. Baton Rouge and New Orleans become instant dry docks, and Morgan City is drowned.

Also, it's not "natural"; it's a result of men wanting to make the Red River navagatible for paddlewheelers up to Shreveport, and cutting a path into the Mississippi, thus creating the fissure pulling more of the latter's flow down the Atchafalaya.
