@upstreamism It sounds like the "Idaho Stop", though it's very wordy. That would be a great improvement for cycling. The expectation to stop is counterproductive. Coming to a complete stop makes me uncomfortable whenever a car is following me. It means that cars will try to pass me (often without enough space) because they accelerate faster than me, and it means I'll be more wobbly because I'm moving slowly and pedaling hard to get up to speed.
