Good chance He was a stonemason considering His locale, but He likely built with whatever materials were available. That's a fitting metaphor for His ministry in a way, as He chose disciples as the needed materials for His goal and didn't stick to one type of ultra pious person plucked from the ranks of Sanhedrin or other esteemed religious orders at the time.
