Breaking up the doom - I woke up to amazing news for my dad, and he & my mom are just arriving to visit me in Spain, so I got to tell him in person.
One of the largest St. Patrick’s Day Parades in the U.S. is in my hometown, the only one through two states (Iowa & Illinois).
They pick a Grand Marshal each year, someone active in the St. Pat’s Society, and I nominated my dad, who turns 75 in June, and he won! Also, my dad has been so upset since the election, so extra glad for this.
