@dcnorris @clacke In a country where not only your rent and your food but more importantly your healthcare depends on your continued employment and where unions are demonized and fought by corporations at every corner, a general strike is highly unlikely.
Also the last time a fascism rise gave way to progressive rules, it required the formation of the biggest military alliance of all time and ultimately cost tens of millions of lives, both military and civilian. I'm not holding my breath this time.
