Here’s how NOT to handle a situation like this. Somewhere around 6pm-7pm EST, #Sony’s #playstation network basically “went down” (I hate that term, but there’s no better one). They have had the same useless status message ever since. People trying to play on a #PS4 or #PS5 simply can’t use any network services.
The two things that bug me: (1) it’s been 12 hours and they have no new status? And (2) they use this absurd qualified language “experiencing issues” and “You might have difficulty” when the actual situation is very different. The services are straight up unavailable. And it’s not “difficult” when something is simply not possible.
They should have more frequent updates and they should use plain language to explain what’s going on, not this corporate speak that feels like they said something when they didn’t.
