Watched like 4 eps of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spiderman and it's biggest problem is the same one plaguing 90% of streaming service cartoons.... not enough time to flesh out.
I came into this with little knowledge of Spiderman as a whole and it left me more confused than anything.
Apparently it's set in one of the MCU timelines or whatever so the Avengers are a thing in this world and are on the news and somewhat affect Peter Parker. Had to look this up cuz the show doesn't set it up.
The show doesn't really do much to establish its characters or pace itself so we'll just get Peter Parker get bit by a spider and the next scene he's already got a shitty costume and training to be a hero.
Characters will get introduced, the show will then expo-dump "This is X she's Peter's best friend", then by the next scene we see them as best buds who tell each other anything.
It's like the show is hoping the audience will do the work of actually developing the characters and having a reason to care about them.
