To the far right, one raccoon wanders and checks the snowy lawn for nuts and other snacks. On the patio, a slightly smaller raccoon enters from the right. In front of the camera are two large shallow dish of frozen water. The raccoon first approaches the larger dish on the right, putting both front paws out on the ice, fingers splayed body resting against the ice to stretch as far as possible, feeling for something unknown. Disappointed, the raccoon moves on to the second dish. Perhaps assuming the ice will be similarly impenetrable, the raccoon goes straight for the far reach, one paw breaking through almost immediately. The raccoon begins feeling around in the water while breaking up large chunks of ice. With all of the ice detached, the raccoon begins to chew chunks of ice. Sound starts as very quiet taps and creaks, then the first crack into the ice, followed by quieter splashing and cracking.
