I try to live life mostly offline and focus on a lot of simple things. Almost all alerts and notifications are off. At the end of each day I'll check the news. The stories have been getting increasingly ridiculous and terrifying and sickening. Unbelievable. Unfathomable. Digging years of progress and hard work into a deeper and deeper hole, throwing decency and human rights and what I thought were universal values into that hole, and filling it in.
