hi there. im rachael, a trans nonbinary woman trapped in a red state, living with my disabled partner and two dogs. i was fired last year for being trans, and despite a constant effort to find employment, no one local wants to hire a trans, and i have not found success with finding a remote job.

since neither of us can work, i need to ask for help with rent, so that i can continue the job search and escape to seattle. $1600 should cover that plus the necessary utilities to keep the apartment warm this winter.

additionally, if your workplace is looking for a remote software developer and is willing to hire someone even if theyre trans, please, DM me.

i appreciate so deeply all that fedi has done for me, and i appreciate all that you can do now to keep me and my partner and dogs safe. once im employed im going to put so much of that income back into mutual aid. i want to help you all, too.
