Watching the press questions after the Chancellor's speech. This is very interesting. Labour apparently want to completely overhaul the planning permission system to stop a repeat of farces like HS2 (our notoriously expensive high speed railway project to link the North to London, which has gone nowhere, links nothing, and has THE bikeshed: a multi million pound bat shelter that the bats aren't using.)

She's also unambiguously confirmed that Labour are committing to reduce net migration even if it means slowing economic growth. As much as broad-strokes quota policy makes me nervous and concerned, that's at least a commitment to not mindlessly feeding the beast.
