I do think there’s a substantive difference between reporting on what a government's done and not being allowed to report on it at all. Once a government has *ordered* a model (or a history book, or an encyclopedia, or a textbook, or...) to omit specific information it dislikes, that’s a whole lot worse than a private company doing that itself IMO.
