@loop0 it's not re-inventing mastodon though because it looks and acts like Instagram, which mastodon is not. An instagram-like UI wouldn't work with Mastodon because Mastodon allows text posts and it just would not vibe and certain features just aren't there.

Yes, Pixelfed is in it's infancy compared to Mastodon, but it will get better over time. Especially with the funding that it's going to be receiving.
