YoraI just learned that #KDE Menu Editor is a thing and it makes adding new programms to your launcher so much easier than looking up the location where entries are stored and a blank template for how the entry files are structured.
(Also lets you easily remove launcher items you never want to use.)
Right click on the launcher icon in the task bar and pick "Edit applications..."
