@hrw Having over thousand open bugs alone should not be a sign of not wanting to file another one. If bug reports that were opened within the last year has not gotten any attention is when I decide maybe it is not worth filing one. Then again I might file one even that is true as I am closing a bug report from another project so it is no longer open there.
Note GCC has 18k bug reports open. GCC also gets a little over 100 new "bug" reports a week (including enhancement). The net open bugs for the week is max 15 though; and many of those are enhancements that will be fixed later on. The major regressions are tried to be handled within a week or 2. GCC does have almost 4000 issues which have been open for 10 years. Though GCC did fix over 50 of the 10 year old bugs in the last year. So it is a mix bag.
