One huge problem in corpo-world is the lack of "an adult in the room".

Often I find I have very basic questions, and nobody can answer them, and they are pass fail for the success of a project, and nobody will say stop - let's figure this out.

And the big problem is that you aren't "allowed" to appoint yourself (I have been that role - but it has to be provided by the management), and if there is no adult everything falls apart.
