@davesdogmaggie I imagine some of it is very much that and I from what I've heard this issue is a such a core desire of a part of his base that they will push it.

From what I understand the strategy is to push hard, win if they can, but if it fails, then call for a constitutional convention so they can change a bunch of stuff.

Frankly, I don't think they have the stamina for that long game, but it's enough in the face of feckless opposition, to wreak havoc.
