@Gatitasecsii@baraag.net My post was originally meant to be a joke. I genuinely do not think he intended for it to be a salute, and was just having a bit of an autism moment. And I think there are more important things to be worried about. It feels like yet another distraction from the real issues.

Like the "Women in mens sports" thing, where literally nobody cared about women's sports until that point. And now that it's become an identity politics thing, suddenly people who never would have cared before suddenly care about womens sports. It's just a way to distract from actual issues which should be focused on instead.


But I'm not going to go out of my way to defend Elon Musk of all people. He definitely did buy his way into the government, I think twitter sucks now just as much as it did before, but just in a different way. I don't think he's a good person, I don't agree with most things he says and I do not know enough about this AfD thing, so I'm not going to make a strong statement on it. However, if it's what people says it is, yeah that's stupid for him to support it and it gives him a bad look. (not that he ever looks good).

That's my actual stance on the topic.
