Why do some #Linux and #Unix users get upset when their favorite CLI app/command adds a color option to its output messages? This option is usually off by default and controlled by a command-line option or an environment variable. I think colors can be useful in certain cases, such as highlighting specific values say like GATEWAY IP or error codes or messages.
